Two in a Row for Johannes Boe

Norway's Johannes Thingnes Boe made it two in a row by taking the second sprint in Kontiolahti, once again shooting clean. His time of 24:03.5 was 18.5 seconds ahead of Russia's Alexander Loginov, who also shot clean in second place. Lowell Bailey of the USA, with the first podium of his career shot clean to finish third, 19.4 seconds back.

Kontiolahti Sprint to Johannes Thingnes Boe

Norway's Johannes Thingnes Boe shot clean to win for the third time in his career and the first time since December to take the 10K sprint in 23:33.2. Second place Martin Fourcade of France, wearing the Yellow Bib also shot clean but finished 7.1 seconds back, just .1 seconds ahead of Germany's Arnd Peiffer, with one penalty, the only man in the top 10 not to clean today.

Domracheva Dominates Pokljuka Mass Start

Olympic Mass Start Gold medalist Darya Domracheva of Belarus repeated won the first mass start after the OWG today in 36:16.4, with two penalties. Yesterday's pursuit winner, Kaisa Mäkäräinen also with two penalties finished 22.2 seconds back in second. Russia's Olga Zaitseva finished third with her best result since the opening week of this season, 35.9 seconds back with one penalty.

Victory Number Two for Ferry in Mass Start

Sweden's Bjorn Ferry won for the second time this week claiming the 15k mass start this morning in 35:19.3, 4.7 seconds ahead of France's Martin Fourcade, with Russia's Evegeny Ustyugov in third, 12.5 seconds back. All three men shot clean.

Snow, Snow, Everywhere Video

The E.ON IBU World Cup venues have battled the snow all winter, mostly trying to have a minimum of snow on the tracks and shooting range... and preserve it. However at Pokljuka, it has been just the opposite; they have been moving snow after the venue as deluged earlier this month.

Pokljuka Pursuit to Mäkäräinen

Finland's Kaisa Mäkäräinen won the women's 10K pursuit with two penalties in 32:01.0, with second place going to Norway's Tora Berger, also with two penalties, 19.7 seconds back. Italy's Dorothea Wierer, with the first individual podium of her career finished third, with three penalties, 54.4 seconds back.

Björndalen Not Hanging Up His Rifle Just Yet Video

It was big news when Ole Einar Björndalen won Gold in the Sochi Sprint and bigger news when he added another Gold medal in the mixed relay, making him the most decorated athlete in the Olympic Winter Games. However, he made even bigger news early this week, when he announced that he would continue his career for two more years, ending at the 2016 IBU WCH Biathlon in Oslo.
