Gabriela Soukalova, Marries Petr Koukal

World Cup Total Score winner and multi-Olympic medalist Gabriela Soukalova married her long-time boyfriend Petr Koukal in an afternoon ceremony at the unfinished gothic Church in Panenský Týnec in the Czech Republic's Central Bohemian Mountains near the town of Zichovec.

New Norwegian Shooting Coach: Siegfried Mazet

The Norwegian Biathlon Association announced their World Cup coaching staffs for the coming season this afternoon in Oslo, with big changes coming on the men's team. Long-time French Coach Siegfried Mazet takes over as shooting coach and will work alongside cross-country specialist Egil Kristiansen who will direct physical training.

It Takes a Team to Win…More Crystal Globes

Martin Fourcade and Gabriela Soukalova dominated the Crystal Globe hunt winning nine of the ten possible individual titles. Likewise two teams, Norway and Germany dominated the relays and Nations Cup competitions that depended not on a single individual but a team effort. With five Crystal Globes up for grabs, Norway went home with three titles while Germany won two.

Coaching Carousel: Alfred Eder Back to Belarus and More

Season Review 2: Soukalova and the Ladies in Waiting

No question about it; Gabriela Soukalova dominated the 2015-16 BMW IBU World Cup season on the women's side. Like Martin Fourcade and the men, from time to time, other women challenged, but never got the upper hand. Now that it is all over, she has that long-awaited World Cup Total Score title and three of the petite trophies alongside the big Crystal Globe. Just over three years after her first World Cup victory in Pokljuka, she ended the season as the top female biathlete in the world.
