Three Competition Days

Summer Biathletes from 15 nations are in Martell, busy getting used to the biathlon stadium and the running tracks. After training days on Wednesday and Thursday only precise shooting and fast running will count this weekend. The sprints on Friday, pursuits on Saturday and mixed relays on Sunday make up the athletic part of this event which brings international summer biathlon to the South Tyrolean village for the first time. In addition, a colorful entertainment program is planned, including the medal ceremony at the center of Latsch, which will put more people in touch with this exciting sport.

Cold and Windy

Everyone was concerned about the weather on Wednesday, yet the forecast looks bright. The temperatures on Wednesday morning were barely above freezing, while a strong wind forced the organizer to do more construction work. Nevertheless, experts expect the skies to clear and temperatures to rise for the first sprint competition of these championships, at 10 am on Friday.
